With a repertoire spanning over 100 years of jazz history, the 18-member group features music from prominent jazz figures, including Artie Shaw, Clark Terry, and John Coltrane—who all spent at least a portion of their careers serving as musicians in America’s Navy. The group composes and arranges a lot of their music library, in addition to performing modern compositions written by its members. The ensemble is led by Senior Chief Musician William C. Mulligan.
